Sloshy Haruko - Redux

Some of you may remember this pic, some not, but here we go =o

Around 5 years ago, I drew and submitted a pic called "Sloshy Haruko." I was immensely happy with it, thinking it to be the pinnacle of my abilities at the time. Couldn't get any better than that. A few weeks ago, I found myself looking at the picture once more and cringing. Time flies, eh?

At the suggestion of during one of my streams, I decided to tackle the picture once more. Revamp her, compare my past "pinnacle" of abilities with my current. It was the most fun I've had drawing a picture in a long time, and it did almost feel like riding a bike. I'd done the motions years before, and doing them again just came naturally.

I keep ALL of my stuff in my gallery for reasons like this. I don't want to display what I am, now. I want to display what I have been, where I came from, for myself and for others. You can't really move forward if you don't know where you've been, right? So keep all your old doodles! Years from now, they may end up being something you're proud of all over again.

A million thanks to for the suggestion. It's been a while since I looked that far back in my gallery, and it was very nice to have someone think back that far for a revamp idea It was just what I needed.
